How To Replace Rear Bulbs.
« on: June 25, 2008, 05:56:32 PM »
Here's how to remove the Rear Light Cluster to change bulbs..

1.Firstly pry out the plastic bungs that you see inside the rear holding the light cluster in place.. both pieces.
2.Then slowly pull back the light cluster, there are 2 plastic ball sockets so this is why you need to take care removing the cluster as you don't want to break one.

3.hold the cluster then remove the power socket/wire so you can remove the bulb case.or just remove the bulb case and swap bulbs.

4.Do everything in reverse to removing when you fix the cluster back in place, still be careful with the ball sockets as you do this.

ha! ha!!.. seriously, when i tried to remove those circular buttons, i could not pull them loose at all!! even a small flat bladed screwdriver failed to shift them!!!  just bent them up a tad, so stopped trying!!

Hi Wolf,

A screwdriver will do it along with a little more persistence! I took mine off to fit my rear parking sensors. Some come out easier than others though.....try another one to get the hang?

Cheers

Jim
Had to get rid. Too many problems.
A pity 'cos it was dirt cheap.....but now I know why.
Great concept, poor build.
THE WORST CAR I HAVE HAD...BY FAR.

Wolf, i flat head screw driver or a cheap asda blunt  dinner knife (yes the 39p cheap cutlery set), easier to grip and control as you need to pry them slowly then yank them with your fingers..the plastic bungs i mean... :-)

What bulbs did you use? Is there available LED bulbs for the Cali?
