clutch return
« on: October 13, 2009, 01:12:05 PM »
Car is booked in for a service at dealership.
Another problem I am having is the clutch pedal does not return as high as it used to.
Well guess what?
The clutch pedal returned to its normal hight without me having to put my foot under the pedal last night.
Aghhhhhhh

Same scenario as the cruise control.

Am I suffering from dentist syndrome.
ie.  You have a tooth ache and as soon as you book the dentist the pain goes away and you feel as you are wasting everyones time.

Hi Mr Chris

Well I have just picked the car up from its service.

There is a return spring on the clutch pedal which was holding the peddal down.
Spring removed and serviced.
Clutch now as it was when I first bought the car 3 years ago.

No charge

Micky

Result!
Biking is me real passion. If it has to be a car it needs to stand out a bit.
I hope they don't stop making the Caliber like they say.

Yep it was.
It was something simple but it winds you up having to keep putting your foot under the pedal to lift it up.
Anyway its sorted

Just pop down to the dealership and have a word with one of the mechanics and give him a drink.
Was told it was an easy job and only took a couple of mins
