ENGINE CUTTING OUT WHEN TURNING RIGHT
« on: January 30, 2010, 01:33:29 PM »
hi all
i have a problem with my 56plate only had it a few week and love it.
but it has a problem now and again when pulling out from a tjunction usually to turn right , i set off and get about 10 to 15 feet and theres a click from what sounds like the steering console and the engine cuts out . it will start straight up again on the key and drive with no problem. there does not seem to be any other fault with this car as it drives lovely apart from this problem which scares the hell out of me when 44ton of truck is bearing down on you and you motor just stops.

thank you for any help and replies

WOLF..

firstly, welcome to the forum (official welcome here..  http://caliberowners.co.uk/index.php?topic=840.msg30377#msg30377  )

and secondly, definatley take it to the dealers,as it could be a broken/damaged clock spring , in the steering column..
must admit never heard it cause one to cut out before though!!
AS HONEST AND LOYAL AS THE "TIMBER-WOLF"!!!

Like Wolf said. Clock spring.
Def take it back to the dealership as it is not safe.
