Avenger Withdrawn?
« on: January 30, 2010, 03:16:59 PM »
Just checked out local dealers web site then Dodge's site and there's no sign of the Avenger. Has it been withdrawn?

Have noticed that the Sebring is not listed on the Chrysler also. Have both the Avenger and Sebring models being withdrawn from the uk?

Both have been pretty much confirmed to be getting withdrawn for a while now. Suppose they wanted to sell of the stock before they took them off websites etc.

Looking at Parkers it shows for both models that dates available were '07-10' so it looks like they either have, or are going to be, officially withdrawn this year.

That's a bugger as I wanted one next time. I've heard the Sebring and Avenger were having a make-over and would be around till 2012

Well yes, there seems to be a bit of an unknown regards what will happen over here, but, at least we can see what the plan is with the cars over there..

Last time I spoke to a dealer, he couldn't say what was going to happen..

Yup its a shame Chrysler can't keep folks in the UK updated like they do in the States.

Based on Parkers now showing the dates for the Avenger to be 07-10 though I would come ot the conclusion its going. Shame, I suspect it would have sold better as a hatchback.

But it's only parts to keep it legally on the road. Stuff like trim would be unavailable once the 'global' spares stock has been exhausted. Manufacturers make enough trim for production plus a finate number of spares, once they're gone, they're gone.

I learnt this about 20 years ago working for a Vauxhall dealer. Nova trim parts were impossible to get hold of even after about 4 years.
