mpg
« on: February 13, 2010, 11:55:53 AM »
HI was hoping some one may have some info regarding MPG, I own a 2006 DODGE Caliber 2.0 SXT CVT  automatic (silver) and from a full tank of petrol I am getting about 320 miles not sure if this is the best the calibre can do I am fairly light footed and the miles I do are a mixture of road and motorway and around 50 miles a day, can anyone confirm if this sounds about right for this model and if there is anything I can do to get more gas milage out of the beast

kind regards

WOLF..

Thats, pretty good going really, you have to remember, 2.0 petrol, not the most aerodynamic car, pretty heavy and automatic.

I'll keep quite about my diesel mpg !

Hi All, just as a point of interest i get approx 26 mpg normal day to day,up to 34 mpg on a run,
on my auto 2.0 sport, not brilliant, but one of those things, their heavy cars,
that's the US measurement not UK so slightly better,
thanks

I get about 31-32mpg under a variety of roads.

40mpg is do-able on a motorway at 50 mph on cruise, 21-22mpg on townwork.

Just refilled and with mixed driving  with top speeds mostly between 50-60 and occassional max of 70 has returned 34.6 mpg so very pleased.
