Battery Warning Light
« on: July 15, 2010, 09:57:47 AM »
Hi folks.
Whilst travelling home last night the charging systems light came on and stayed on, when I started the motor this morning, the light was still on, I've dropped my Cali off at my local garage so they can take a look. Hopefully its nothing expensive I'll keep you posted.

They think its a loose or corroded wire, the battery is being charged slightly so they need to investigate further.
No charge as yet so thats a bonus.
I'll keep you posted.

Whilst on my way to work last night all my instrument lights began lighting up, I pulled over turned off the engine thinking it would reset it all, when i tried to start the engine the battery was dead, I've had to get a jump start and limp to a different garage.
I'm hoping I only need a new battery, THE SAGA CONTINUES!!

Its sorted. It was a wire from the alternator to the starting motor which was corroded and split, the alternator was putting out plenty charge but it wasn't going anywhere.
Job sorted car running fine again thankfully.
